The Eras and About sections use Javascript to organize the content into easy to read blocks. For the Latest News sidebar, we pulled the shortcode engine out of WordPress to make updating easier (the site currently uses a flat-file content management system, not WordPress). In the site CMS, the client can use a tool that allows simultaneous posting of status updates to Twitter and Facebook by way of a custom Facebook application. A hyperlink shortener that uses the TinyURL API is also included in the social media tool.
